Fort Williams Park welcomes groups traveling as one aboard motor coaches, vans, limousines, minibusses, and trolleys. In the Spring of 2019, the Town of Cape Elizabeth completed more than a half-million dollars of work to improve the safety, traffic flow, and visitor experience. Improvements included paving the central parking lot, adding a wide paved walkway next to the drop-off, as well as handrails to facilitate visitors’ walks to the lighthouse (approximately 200 yards) and a series of benches to offer those with mobility challenges places to rest. Additionally, the Town of Cape Elizabeth approved a three-year plan to increase commercial vehicles bringing groups into the park.
Fees are based on vehicle capacity, not the number of passengers and may be paid with only cash or check payable to the Town of Cape Elizabeth.
Season passes are available by contacting the Park Coordinator at 207-799-2868 or via email.
Non-season pass holders should proceed to Central Parking and see Park Greeter, make payment and receive further instructions.
Motorcoaches and vehicles with 31 or more seats are encouraged to complete the online Advanced Reservation Form to expedite their visit. A permit will be emailed upon receipt for driver/tour leader to present to the Park Greeter in Central Parking.
School groups should contact Community Services at 799-2868 to check availability in advance of a visit.
