Spurwink Church is located at 533 Spurwink Avenue and is owned by the Town of Cape Elizabeth. It is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The church is available to rent for wedding ceremonies, vow renewals, commitment celebrations, funerals, memorial services, and christenings from May 1 – October 31. It is not available for use by any religious group to conduct regular services.
The church can accommodate up to 150 people. There is no heat, air conditioning, or restrooms (nearby portable toilet). Guest parking is available across the street.
Bookings are scheduled in two-hour blocks. Events are one hour, doors are unlocked one hour before start time, and locked at the event end time. Events in October may not start later than 6:00 pm. Reservations are accepted from Cape Elizabeth residents beginning December 1st for the following year and non-residents beginning January 1st of the year.
Wedding ceremony fees include a one-hour rehearsal. Any wedding ceremony with an expected attendance of 25 or more guests is required to have a rehearsal.
