Cape Care

Before joining Cape Care in the Fall of 2012, Gay taught preschool in Yarmouth and worked as a kindergarten Ed Tech in Falmouth. She is the Lead Teacher in the 4-5 year old room known as the “Butterflies”. Gay has a BS in Elementary Ed from Rowan University and holds a 020 Maine certification. Gay has long been an innovator of a creative curriculum designed to meet each child’s individual needs while preparing them for kindergarten. Her programs are designed to focus on academics, social/emotional skills, and how to effectively communicate with peers and adults. Gay is a Maine native and has raised her three boys in Yarmouth. She and her husband recently moved to Portland. She loves to hike, bike, snowshoe, ski and garden. She and her husband also enjoy volunteering at Preble Street, Portland Trails and Appalachian Trail Conservancy.
